1. We are all sinners.

Every single one of us has sinned. We have all told a lie, stolen something (even if it was just a quarter), and many other things. Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." And Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

2. There's a price for sin: death and hell.

Because of sin everyone of us is giong to die and go to hell. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Matthew 25:46 says, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Also, the first part of Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death..."

3. Jesus paid the price.

Jesus was beaten, whipped, mocked, and spit in the face. People placed a crown of thorns on his head, hung him on a cross with a nail through each hand and a nail through his feet, and then they put a spear through his side. Jesus died on the cross and was buried in the grave for our sins. The last part of Romans 6:23 says, "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Also, John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." And John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

4. Will you be willing to repent from your sins and accept the price that Jesus had paid?

Repent means to turn away. Will you be willing to turn away from your sins? Now, of course you can't be perfect, but you can try hard not to do the sins you used to do and ask Jesus to forgive you when you do sin. Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." And Acts 17:30 says, "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent."

5. How can you know that you are saved?

1 John 5:13 says, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was buried in a grave, but he rose three days later and ascended into heaven. Jesus is now sitting on a throne on the right hand of God in heaven awaiting the time to come to earth for the second time to take those who believe in him to heaven. If you believe that you are a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that he is the only way to heaven. All you have to do is turn away from your sins and believe in him. Just say outloud or in your head that you believe in him and ask him to forgive you of your sins and try hard not to sin. Since you are not perfect and will still sin, just ask Jesus to forgive you and he will. Good works are good, but they do not get you into heaven, only believing in Jesus and repenting from your sins. If you have any questions or commnts, you can contact us here.
